Youth Advocacy Subcommittee (YAS)

The Youth Advocacy Subcommittee (YAS) was created to include more youth voice and perspective into School’s Out Washington’s advocacy efforts for positive youth development in Washington state.

YAS members are onboarded to learn about what the Youth Development Strategy Table (YDST) is trying to accomplish, what it means to advocate at the state level, and how legislative session works in our state. The first cohort was made up of 10 young people representing 10 legislative districts throughout Washington.
