Radu focuses on increasing visibility for and investment in the youth development sector. In partnership with the Youth Development Strategic Table (YDST) and the policy team, he works to ensure expanded learning programs have the resources they need to best serve young people throughout Washington.

Prior to joining the SOWA team, he advocated for more multilingualism/multiculturalism in public schools through education policy reform and community organizing. As a former English Language Learner and high school teacher, he is passionate about working to build a more equitable education system within and outside of the school day so that young people have the wraparound services and supports they need to flourish.
