Jessica coordinates policy-related activities including policymaker outreach and advocacy planning for SOWA, as well as the Youth Development Strategy Table (YDST), to strengthen support for out of school time programs and providers statewide.
jwinston@schoolsoutwashington.orgJessica has worked with youth or youth serving organizations for the duration of her career. Starting in early learning, then elementary space and expanding to all youth, birth to 25. Most recently, Jessica served as the Strategic Initiatives Manager at Greentrike, where she oversaw the Child and Youth Centered Communities movement in Pierce County, which included the annual Symposium for Building a Child and Youth Centered Community.
In the spirit of being of service to her colleagues and community, Jessica has a passion for building strong relationships and partnerships to celebrate and champion the amazing work of youth development and to expand opportunities for young people, with a focus on racial equity.
