Program Quality Coach

Janelle provides relationship-based, youth-centered, culturally responsive coaching and training services to youth development program professionals with the purpose of fostering staff learning, improving program quality and supporting positive youth outcomes in Washington State.

Janelle brings over a decade of leadership and direct-service experience in youth development, licensed childcare, family & child advocacy, and camp programming. Janelle’s background includes serving as the School-Age Care Program Director for the YMCA of Snohomish County and as the Children’s Program Manager at the YWCA of Pierce County, where she led, developed, and strengthened programs serving children and youth ages 4 months to 21 years. As a first-generation Filipina American, Janelle’s own experiences in youth-centered summer camps and BIPOC-led afterschool programs shaped her commitment to create meaningful opportunities for young people. Today, Janelle is passionate about supporting expanded learning professionals to recognize their own strengths, reimagine potential, build relationships, and develop sustainable systems where young people can learn, grow, lead, and thrive.
