A Time to Give: SOWA’s Year-End Showcase

As we wrap up another whirlwind of a year, School’s Out Washington is grateful for all we’ve been able to accomplish. We hope our community will join us in support and celebration as we reach even higher to support expanded learning programs.

Join us!

Fill your heart with Community Spotlights. Each story shares the real, on-the-ground impact expanded learning programs play in the lives of young people across the state.

Learn and celebrate SOWA’s unique role and what we’ve brought to the field this year, including:

  • Launching the second season of the Best Starts for Kids Expanded Learning Initiative, with 65 organizations receiving $16 million and substantial capacity and quality improvement support over the next three years—double the amount of funding from the first cycle
  •  2 days of dynamic, in-person learning to over 500 expanded learning staff and providers at our 20th Annual Bridge Conference
  • Delivering 236 trainings and 775 hours of coaching to on-the-ground youth workers
  • And we are leading a call to action to the state legislature to pass $52 million in funding for youth programs in the biennium budget.

Make a donation! Some of our most critical work—like advocating for more funds for the expanded learning field—relies on individual contributions. Whether you can give $10 a month or $1,000 at year-end, your investment will truly reverberate across the state.

Make it monthly. Signing up for a monthly donation is a quick and the easiest way to make an even bigger contribution. (Just scroll down and click “recurring” to make it happen.) Bonus—when you sign up for monthly donations, your first year’s estimated contribution will all be matched!
