This 2-day conference is both visionary and responsive to the needs of program and school administrators, policy makers, educators and all other leaders engaged in defining the role of afterschool programs in supporting young people's success in grades K-12 and in life. In this historic year, we seek to provide many resources for participants to address challenges related to the struggling economy and position themselves to seize new opportunities. This year’s conference will empower our audience to be catalysts for innovative change.
Proposed workshops should address research and applications in the context of the theme "Being a Catalyst for Innovative Change" and the conference content areas. Presenters should utilize resources to strengthen the partnership between afterschool programs, schools and other community service agencies supporting young people in grades K-12. Limited workshop slots are available and we are currently accepting RFPs from those interested in presenting at the 2009 conference.
RFP forms must be completed and submitted to us by April 17, 2009. We will notify applicants of our selections by May 4, 2009. We recommend that read the RFP form carefully, as it contains important information to help you with your application process.
